(Oct. 16) Jack Price, the gay Queens man who was brutally beaten nearly two weeks ago, spoke out about his attack Friday saying he didn’t expect to survive the attack.

"I thought I died," Price said. "I was bleeding all over the place."

The two men who attacked Price, Daniel Rodriguez and Daniel Aleman, left him with a shattered jaw, broken ribs and a collapsed lung.

The violent attack was captured on surveillance video and shows Aleman and Rodriguez repeatedly kicking, punching and stomping Price.

The two have been charged with felony assault as a hate crime.

Price’s feelings toward Aleman and Rodriguez are as raw as the bruises he suffered from the assault.

"I hope they rot in jail," Price said. "I don't understand how someone can do this to somebody. They almost killed another human being."

Recalling the night, Price said he was on his way home when Aleman and Rodriguez, both of whom he recognized from the neighborhood, began to taught him.

Speaking in Spanish, the pair called Price a "stupid faggot" and "dumb faggot," he said.

"They didn't know I spoke Spanish," Price said.

He went into a bodega to grab cigarettes, but when he came out, Aleman and Rodriguez began harassing him again.

"I know where you live, faggot," one of the men said, Price recalled.

"You better run away before he kills you," the other said.

Moments later, the assault began.

The only thing Price remembers about the attack is his surprise that he was still alive.

With tubes running into his chest and nose and stitches along his broken jaw, Price insisted he wouldn't want anyone else to face a similar fate.

"Better it was me," he said. "Someone else may not have survived it."
