The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kandi Burruss’ Ex-Fiancé Killed

(Oct. 3) Ashley “AJ” Jewell, ex-fiancé of Kandi Burruss, died of massive head injuries at Atlanta’s Piedmont Hospital last night, according to police.

Jewell was fatally injured in a fight with Frederick Richardson in the parking-lot of the Body Tap Club, a strip club located in northwest Atlanta. 

Jewell was a partial owner of the club and Richardson was an employee.

Richardson is charged with voluntary manslaughter.

Richardson also sustained injuries and was taken to Grady Hospital.  He will remain in Grady Detention until doctors release him and gets transferred to Fulton County Jail by police.

The motive for the fight remains unknown and police say the investigation is still underway.

Buruss’ MySpace and Twitter pages have been flooded with condolences and prayers.

Burruss thanked her friends and followers for their condolences and asked for prayers for the six children survived by Jewell on her Twitter page and for privacy at this time grief.

“I could never imagine in a million years this happening.  Please pray for AJs children.  That’s who I am most concerned 4,” she wrote.  “I’m just in one of those moods where I don’t wanna talk, I don’t wanna b held & told its gonna b ok.  I just wanna cry myself 2 sleep, alone.”

Burruss was to attend the funeral of her late uncle today.
