L.A. Fashion Week Spring 2010: “Louver” by Louis Verdad
(Oct. 15) Mexican American designer Louis Verdad revealed his “Louver” line Wednesday, opening with a montage of his inspirations featuring Obama, Oprah, Janet Jackson, Grace Jones and Maya Angelou. Every model cast to wear the all-ivory collection was black.

Verdad new line offered cream jumpsuits, shift dresses and trousers were accented with pops of gold and an occasional splash of navy. Silhouettes were clean and simplicity in details was greatly apparent. His use of cream and ivory looked especially drawing against the model’s skin tone.
His clothes now sell in Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue.
