BET Hip-Hop Awards 2009 Nominees!

(Sept. 19) The list of nominees for the 4th annual BET Hip-Hop Awards is in and antics ridden Kanye West tops the list with a whopping 9 nominations.

Hip-Hop veterans Jay-Z and Lil Wayne follow close behind with 7 nominations, many in the same categories.
T.I. was just behind them with six nominations, including three for his collaboration with Rihanna on "Live Your Life."

Newcomers Drake and Kid Cudi pulled in 3 and 2 awards, respectively.  Both will face each other for the Rookie of the Year award.

Two new nomination categories have been added to this year’s line-up -- "Made-You-Look Award" (Best Hip Hop Style) which will go to the ultimate trendsetter and "Best Hip-Hop Blog Site," which will go to the online site that consistently keeps Hip-Hop fans up-to-date with all that’s happening in the world of Hip-Hop.

Veteran rapper, actor, and philanthropist Ice Cube will be honored with the “I Am Hip-Hip” Icon Award.  The award recognizes those who have made notable contributions of outstanding significance to the hip-hop community.

Actor/comedian Mike Epps will host the event.

The show will be taped in Atlanta on October 10th and air Tuesday, October 27th at 8pm on BET.
